Electric scooters with seats are incredibly practical. The seat adds a whole new dimension of usefulness to the whole concept. The person who first decided to add a seat on an electric scooter, is as much of a genius as the person who first decided to put cheese on a hamburger.
With an electric scooter with a seat, you get all the benefits of scooters, but you don’t have to stand the whole time. What’s not to love?
These are the best electric scooters with seats.
We will be going over all of these great options, and we will also explore why they are a brilliant idea.
NanRobot D6+ – best overall, best range, best climb angle
I believe that the NanRobot D6+ is one of the best electric scooters there is, especially in its price range. It is very likely that I will buy this scooter myself some time in the near future. So I may be biased, but I think my bias is well justified.
For the price of $1690, you will get a scooter that will be crazy powerful. The NanRobot D6+ can go as fast as 40 mph / 64 kmh and with a range of 40 mi / 64 km on a single charge.
What’s more, its climbing range is unmatched, the best out of all the scooters with seats. It can climb slopes as steep as 30 degrees, maintaining a solid speed. And it can pretty much do this on any terrain, due to the large 10-inch off-road tires with deep treads.
The NanRobot D6+ is simply hard to beat in its price range. I truly believe it is one of the best middle-price range scooters at the moment.
It has been described as the nerd’s scooter. That’s because all its parts are very easy to modify and customize.
The seat is simply one of the many options that come along with this scooter. It’s a great choice for those that prefer comfort and stability. The scooter comes with the seat included, and you can add or remove it as you need.

Hiboy S2 – best value
The Hiboy S2 is an inexpensive scooter, but it offers a lot of features and reliability. For a great price, you get some pretty decent performance features. Most notably, a top speed of 18 mph / 30 kmh and a range of 17 mi / 27 km.
The climb angle is only 9 degrees, which means that the Hiboy S2 will only handle the mildest slopes. That’s pretty good for a scooter this light, since the Hiboy S2 only weighs 29 lbs / 13 kg. It can carry a maximum weight of 265 lbs / 120 kg.
This is a very solid option for a budget scooter with the option to have a seat as well. The seat is included in the price, and you can add it and remove it as you need to. All in all, this is probably the best value option from the electric scooters with seats category.

Razor EcoSmart Metro – best electric scooter with a seat and a trunk
The Razor EcoSmart Metro may be even better than the Razor E300S, at least in some regards. This is one of the final iterations of the mega-popular Razor brand.
The Razor EcoSmart Metro has probably sold a few dozen thousand units at least.
It is indeed a very smart scooter. It comes with a comfortable (but non-removable) seat and even a basket attached to the rear of the seat. All of that makes it a very practical scooter. Just looking at the Razor EcoSmart reminds me of being a responsible adult (even though Razor is a brand predominantly for children’s electric scooters).
Besides the truly practical and smart features, the Razor EcoSmart has some pretty decent performance feat as well. A solid top speed of 30 km/h, and a range of 19 kilometers. It’s powered by a 500 Watt peak power, chain-driven motor.
The Razor EcoSmart Metro is an inexpensive scooter, clearly in the budget price category. It is one of the classic bestselling scooters of all time, which makes it a very safe choice. You can take a look at my detailed Razor EcoSmart Metro review if you want to find out more.

Dualtron X2 – best performance, longest range
Dualtron is a well-established brand in the e-scooter world. Their scooters are made by Minimotors, a now 23-year-old company that is one of the largest manufacturers of e-scooters today. They have a wide offer of all kinds of scooters. Their models are often the best-performing ones in their respective price ranges, as they focus on value (and power) a lot.
The Dualtron X2 model is another great offer from the brand. In fact, it is the most expensive and most powerful scooter in their repertoire.
For the price of $6490, you will get a scooter with a top speed of 65 mph / 105 kmh, and an astonishing range of 93 mi / 150 km!
That kind of power is simply unbelievable for a personal electric commuter.
Enormous off-road tires, hydraulic brakes, adjustable hydraulic suspension, and tons of other high-end features complete this scooter as probably one of the best electric scooters ever.
As for the seat, it can be installed or removed as needed. The seat doesn’t come included in the package, but you can order it on any web store that sells Dualtron scooters. The most common set-up is a wide, two-plate seat, with a thick frame and a dozen of screws that hold it in place.
Check out my detailed Dualtron X2 review if you’re curious about this brilliant scooter.
