You’ve probably noticed by now that there’s one group of people who simply LOVE electric scooters and find them incredibly practical and efficient. I’m talking about entrepreneurs, young professionals, business people, and everyone who’s often on the go and needs a reliable, quick, simple, and affordable transportation option for urban environments.
In many ways, I fall into this category, as well as the majority of people who I know. That’s why I wanted to create a short guide on what I’ve found to be the best electric scooters for people in these scenarios.
While several of models can play this role, I believe only a handful are truly great for entrepreneurs, so we’ll only look at a few best scooters in this category.

My criteria for choosing the best electric scooters for entrepreneurs and business people
Scooters for business people must satisfy several important criteria.
They need to have a range that’s “useful” – meaning, they can use their scooter to get stuff done throughout the day without having to constantly worry if they’ll run out of battery.
At the same time, they need to be light and portable. Based on my experience, you will often have to carry this scooter, and you want that experience to be as effortless as possible (the last thing you want is to show up at a business meeting sweaty and steemy from carrying your 100 lbs scooter over a few flights of stairs).
That means these scooters have to get this very tricky balance exactly right – they must be light in weight, and still very portable. These two are usually opposed, as the biggest contributor to the scooter’s weight is its battery size, which directly impacts the range.
Other than that, most business people need to spare all the money they can to invest in their business, which means the scooter must be very affordable, great value for money, and not cost a fortune to charge
Ninebot Max – best overall
Not only did I personally test and love the Ninebot Max from the position of an entrepreneur, but tons of other people have also done the same!
This is the most frequently used scooter by the entrepreneurial and professional demographic. I travel frequently, but not matter what city I’m in, the Ninebot Max is the most constant scooter rocked by people who look like young professionals.
And it makes perfect sense – the scooter has excellent range while not being too heavy, it’s not very expensive, and it comes from one of the most popular scooter brands ever.
If you’re an entrepreneur or a professional working in an urban environment and you’re looking for a great way to move around, the Ninebot Max will be your go-to choice.
